“Teresa came to our business planning session on Saturday.  She added value on our marketing ideas, every plan we had she enhanced with some tweaks to make each interaction a bit better in our marketing efforts. It was a great business planning weekend. She is an asset to the Megabranch. Thanks for your efforts.”

Teresa Riccobuono – Practice Management and Recruiting Specialist for the Financial Services Industry. CEO of Simply Organized.

After serving in the financial services industry for just a short period of time, Teresa realized there is a gap between what large companies want and expect of their advisors and what the advisors want out of their career. Experiencing this gap herself, she was determined to help advisors bridge the gap between their existing and their ideal financial planning practice.

In 2003, she decided to start her own company, Simply Organized. With insight in hand, she developed her signature program, Tapping Into Your Million Dollar Drawer. She shares her program with clients across the country on a one to one coaching basis, in group sessions or in a workshop setting. This program has been so successful that she has broadened her scope to include a variety of professionals that surround and support the financial services industry.

After the 2008-2009 economic downturn, when advisors again felt comfortable hiring team members, Teresa added recruiting to her menu of services. Doing the recruiting herself allows advisors to remain focused on running their business while she handles the recruiting tasks behind the scenes. Over the years, she has developed a unique process for securing qualified candidates for her clients.

Teresa is a frequent contributor to one of the financial industry’s leading newsletters, Advisor Perspectives and an occasional contributor to Michael Kitces’ Nerd’s Eye View blog.

In 2020, Teresa was named the Client Experience Coach for the Financial Planning Association, joining a select group of industry experts.

Although Teresa lives in the San Francisco bay area, she works with advisors all across the country.

In her spare time, Teresa is involved in several volunteer activities. For Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment, she has been a keynote speaker, program developer and facilitator, coach, and Leadership Committee member. She has also been a keynote speaker for Wardrobe for Opportunity, as well as a presenter, stylist, and mentor.

In addition to these beloved organizations, Teresa has also supported Habitat for Humanity (she was a member of the All Women Crew which raises funds, sponsors, and builds homes for low-income families), The Mt. Diablo Hospital Foundation, Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), STAND Against Domestic Violence (now known as STAND for Families Free of Violence), Bay Area Alliance for Youth and Family Services, Family Stress Center, Bay Area Crisis Nursery, and The American Cancer Society, among others.

For all of her charitable work, Teresa received honorable mention as a nominee for the American Express Great Citizen Award.

A strong supporter of her native town of Concord, California, Teresa has conducted free workshops, with support from the city, for small business owners.

Teresa is the past President and past Secretary of Diablo Toastmaster Club, as well as, the Public Relations Chair for the East Bay Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.
